Discover the world's oldest city and step back in time to the origins of Christianity on this day trip to Jericho.

Day Trip to Jericho

After pickup from your selected hotel in Jerusalem at 8:30 am, we will head east to Jericho, the oldest city in the world. A panoramic tour will cover its historical center, revealing the city's ancient significance.

We'll explore key sites, including the Sycamore tree from the story of Zacchaeus and Elisha's Spring. The tour continues to the western part of the city for a ride on the Jericho Cable Car, the longest cable car below sea level, offering exceptional views as it takes us to the Mount of Temptation, referenced in the Bible.

Next, we visit Qaser el Yahud on the Jordan River, believed to be the site of John’s baptism of Jesus, where visitors can also be baptized. Our final stop will be the Dead Sea, known for its natural healing properties, allowing time to relax in the water. The excursion concludes back in Jerusalem around 6:30 pm.
