On this tour of Orthodox Jewish culture, you'll learn about the customs and traditions of the local community. We'll also visit the neighbourhoods of Jerusalem where the members of this religion live.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll begin this tour of Orthodox Jewish culture around Jerusalem in Davidka Square, at the bus stop just in front of the Abraham Jerusalem Hostel.

What do the curls of the Orthodox Jews represent? Why do they always wear a characteristic black attire? We'll learn the answers to these questions while we tour the main points of interest in Jerusalem that are frequented by this important Jewish religious community.

To begin, we'll make our way towards the Mahane Yehuda Market to learn about the foods commonly consumed by Orthodox Jews. This community also frequents establishments and shops that specialize in their needs, which we will discover in the Zichron Moshe neighbourhood.

We will visit the district of Mea She'arim, a neighbourhood in north Jerusalem where Ultraorthodox Jews live. After uncovering their main social and religious customs, beliefs and rites, we'll head to the Ge'ula neighbourhood to further understand the way of life of this community.

Finally, after a 2.5-hour tour, the activity will conclude in the vicinity of our starting point.
