Petra & Wadi Rum 2-Day Tour

Can you imagine going on a desert safari and exploring one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World? Combine both plans on this 2-day tour to Petra and Wadi Rum from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv. Plus, we'll visit the city of Aqaba and discover Star Wars sets.

Itinerary

Day 1: Jerusalem - Aqaba - Wadi Rum

We will meet at the designated location in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv and travel by bus to Aqaba, approximately a 4-hour journey. We will have a guided tour of Aqaba, exploring its streets, mosques, and souks, including a visit to the Mamluk Castle.

After lunch, we will switch to a four-wheel drive tour of Wadi Rum, known as the Valley of the Moon, famous for its association with Star Wars films. We will see the Seven Pillars of Wisdom and the Um Furth arch during our tour.

The day concludes at the camp where we'll spend the night, enjoying a sunset over the desert followed by dinner.

Day 2: Wadi Rum - Petra - Jerusalem

On the second day, we will have breakfast and depart for Petra, which is approximately a 2.5-hour bus journey. Once there, we will explore the ancient Nabataean capital, over 2,300 years old, guided through various archaeological sites.

You will have 2 hours of free time in Petra for lunch before a 5 to 6-hour drive back to Israel, with arrival at the departure points in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv scheduled between 2 am and 3:15 am.

Accommodation

This tour includes one night's accommodation at the Magic Rum Camp on a half-board basis with options for a standard double room or a superior tent-like room. All rooms have private bathrooms and Wi-Fi access, or similar accommodations if unavailable.
