Day Trip to Osian & Khichan from Jodhpur

Join us on a day trip from Jodhpur to Osian and Khichan, discovering ancient Hindu and Jain temples and exploring a sanctuary for demoiselle cranes.

Description

This adventure begins with a hotel pickup in Jodhpur. We will travel towards Osian, known for its historic temples from the 8th to 12th centuries.

In Osian, we will visit 16 Brahmanic and Jain temples, notable for their intricate carvings. Key sites include the Sachchiya Mata temple and the Mahavir Jain temple.

Following our temple exploration, we will pause for lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we will continue our journey to Khichan, located about 75 kilometers away. This town is renowned for its wintering flocks of demoiselle cranes, supported by the local community's efforts. We will share the story of this unique relationship.
