Day Trip to Osian & Khichan from Jodhpur

Join us on a day trip from Jodhpur to Osian and Khichan to explore ancient Hindu and Jain temples and a sanctuary for demoiselle cranes.

Description

We will pick you up from your hotel in Jodhpur for an excursion to Osian and Khichan. Our journey begins with a visit to Osian, an ancient city known for its temples dating back to the 8th to 12th centuries.

In this desert oasis, you'll see 16 Brahmanic and Jain temples with intricate carvings, including the Sachchiya Mata temple and the Mahavir Jain temple.

After the temple visit, we will take a break for lunch at a local restaurant. Following our meal, we will continue our journey, traveling approximately 75 kilometers to Khichan. This town is known for hosting flocks of demoiselle cranes each winter, supported by the local community.

We will share the story of this bond between the locals and the cranes, along with interesting facts about the birds that have inspired songs in the area.

After six hours of sightseeing, we will drop you back off at your hotel in Jodhpur.
