Come in contact with rural life in the region of Joinville on this tour to Krüger House and the Ango Kersten farm. You'll visit a building of historical significance and enjoy a tractor ride around the farm.
Description
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Joinville for a 20-minute minibus journey to the Krüger House.
Upon arrival, we will learn about the history of Wally Krüger's House, a building from 1925, located where sugarcane and corn were historically harvested. This structure is a notable example of German-Brazilian architecture and is a National Historic Site.
Before departing the Krüger House, we will view photographs, outfits, and utensils from the era and discuss German immigration to Santa Catarina in the last century.
The next stop will be at the Ango Kersten farm, where we will explore rural life on the outskirts of Joinville. This includes a tractor ride through the farm's vegetable and fruit crops and observing the geese and other animals on the premises.
Finally, we will visit a colonial-style restaurant to enjoy a buffet of local delicacies. After approximately 4 hours of activities, the tour will conclude with your return to the hotel.
