One of the most beautiful villages in the southern Peruvian Andes awaits us on this private excursion to Lampa. We'll explore its old town, dating back to the 16th century, and learn about its history.
Lampa Private Excursion
At the selected time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Juliaca and head northwest to Lampa.
After about an hour's drive, we'll spend an hour and a half exploring the historic center of Lampa. We'll stroll through its narrow streets, admiring the color of the facades. This town is known as the 'Pink City'.
Near Grau Square and the Plaza de Armas, we'll visit the church of Santiago Apostle, a colonial building from the 17th century made entirely of stone. Inside, we’ll find works from the Cusco School of Fine Arts, a replica of Michelangelo's Pieta, and a historic organ brought from Belgium in 1620.
Finally, we'll conclude the tour after three and a half hours by dropping you off at your hotel in Juliaca.
End the excursion in Puno
If you prefer, we can end the tour in Puno instead of returning to Juliaca. We'll drop you off at any central location or hotel you desire.
