Have you heard of the artificial archipelago of Lake Titicaca? Join us on this excursion to the Uros Islands from Juliaca. If you prefer, you can spend the night in this special place.

Uros Islands Tour

At your chosen time, we will pick you up from your hotel or the airport in Juliaca and travel by minibus to Puno, where we will board a speedboat across Lake Titicaca to visit the floating village of the Uros.

The visit will last approximately two hours, disembarking on two Uros islands. We will explain how these artificial islands are constructed with totora reeds, an aquatic plant similar to the reed native to Lake Titicaca.

You will learn about the traditions and beliefs of the Uros and observe their daily tasks, including fishing. This ethnic group descends from one of the most ancient cultures on the continent. We will provide insights into their history.

After six and a half hours, we will conclude the excursion and return you to your hotel.

Uros Islands 2 Day Tour

For an extended experience, the 2-day tour from Juliaca includes a night's accommodation in a traditional hut on one of the islands. This offers deep cultural immersion.

The first day features a tour of the Uros islands, where you will learn local fishing techniques, enjoy lunch, and a two-course dinner with a soft drink. This option includes a chance to witness a magical sunset over Lake Titicaca.

On the second day, after tea or coffee and fruit, we will return you to Juliaca, concluding with a drop-off at your hotel by 1:30 pm.

Tour ending in Puno

If you prefer to finish the tour in Puno, we can arrange to drop you off at any central location or hotel of your choice instead of returning to Juliaca.
