Uros Islands Tour

At the time of your choice, we'll pick you up from your hotel or the airport in Juliaca and travel by minibus to Puno, where we'll board a speedboat across Lake Titicaca. We'll visit the floating village of the Uros.

We will spend approximately two hours visiting, disembarking on two of the Uros islands. We'll explain how these islands are constructed with totora reeds, a plant that thrives in the lake.

We'll learn about the traditions and beliefs of the Uros and observe their daily tasks, such as fishing. This ethnic group is descended from one of the most ancient cultures of the Americas, and we will provide insights into their history.

After six and a half hours, we'll conclude the excursion and return you to your hotel.

Uros Islands 2 Day Tour

For an extended experience, the 2-day tour from Juliaca is available. You'll enjoy a night's accommodation in a traditional hut on one of the islands for a deeper cultural immersion.

On the first day, beside the Uros islands tour, you'll learn to fish with locals and have lunch plus a two-course dinner with a soft drink. This option also includes a chance to watch a sunset over Lake Titicaca.

On the second day, after tea or coffee and fruit, we will return you to Juliaca and drop you off at your hotel by 1:30 pm.

The timetable for the excursions is as follows:

1-day excursion: departures at 7 am and 10 am2-day excursion: departures at 7 am

Tour ending in Puno

If preferred, the tour can conclude in Puno instead of returning to Juliaca. We will drop you off at a central location or hotel of your choice.
