Uros Islands Tour

At your convenience, we will collect you from your accommodation or the Juliaca airport and transport you by minibus to Puno. There, we will embark on a speedboat that will navigate across the scenic Lake Titicaca, leading us to the fascinating floating village of the Uros.

Our visit will last approximately two hours, during which you will explore two of the Uros islands. You will learn about the construction of these islands using totora reeds, a plant similar to those found in the waters of Lake Titicaca.

Engage with the traditions and customs of the Uros people as you observe their daily activities, including fishing. Discover that this community descends from one of the oldest civilizations in the Americas, and we will share more about their rich heritage.

After approximately six and a half hours of exploration, we’ll conclude the tour and return you to your hotel.

Uros Islands 2 Day Tour

For those wishing to extend their experience, our two-day tour from Juliaca offers an exceptional opportunity. You will stay overnight in a traditional hut on one of the islands within this floating archipelago, diving deep into the local culture of Lake Titicaca.

On the first day, along with the Uros islands tour, you will learn fishing techniques from the locals and enjoy both lunch and a two-course dinner with a beverage included. Additionally, this option allows you to witness a truly magical sunset over Lake Titicaca.

The second day begins with a light breakfast featuring tea or coffee and fruit, followed by your ride back to Juliaca, concluding your journey at approximately 1:30 pm with a drop-off at your accommodation.

Tour ending in Puno

If you prefer to conclude your tour in Puno, we can arrange to drop you off at any central location or hotel of your choice instead of returning to Juliaca.
