Stargazing at Mauna Kea Volcano

Enjoy a stargazing experience at the Mauna Kea volcano on the island of Hawaii.

Description

We'll meet at your chosen pickup point at the indicated time and head to the Mauna Kea volcano for a stargazing sleepover.

After boarding our 4x4, we'll journey to the summit of Mauna Kea, the highest point in Hawaii. Along the way, we will enjoy a snack and a warm drink while taking in the views.

At the top of the crater, we'll witness the sunset from Mauna Kea. We will select a quiet area to utilize a laser pointer to teach you about different constellations and planets in the night sky.

Using a professional telescope, we will observe the stars during this sleepover. After the stargazing, you will have the opportunity to take photos with a DSLR camera, either individually or in pairs.

The stargazing activity will last six to seven hours.
