Humpback Whale Watching in Kailua-Kona
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Kuakini Highway Illima Court Shopping Center to begin this experience on Hawaii Island and learn interesting facts about these cetaceans.
Each year, thousands of humpback whales come to Hawaii to nurse and care for their calves. We will board a boat to sail along the Kailua-Kona coastline and search for these marine mammals.
We'll explore the significance of humpback whales in the culture and mythology of Hawaii, where they are seen as the guardians of the sea. The calves are known as aumakua, and those born in the island waters are called kamaaina.
During this 2.5-hour tour, we'll watch humpback whales as they swim, jump, and emit their deep songs. We may also see dolphins, manta rays, and sea turtles.
We will return to the port to conclude the experience.
