Kaudulla National Park Safari

Pickup from your hotel in Kandy will begin a 2.5-hour journey by minibus to Kaudulla National Park. At the entrance, participants will board a jeep for the Kaudulla safari. This three-hour excursion highlights the reserve's ecological significance, recognized as an IBA (Important Bird and Biodiversity Area), boasting 160 bird species, 24 mammal species, 25 reptile species, and 26 fish species. Sightings may include cranes, peacocks, and pelicans.

A picnic area will allow for a break, so remember to bring lunch. In the afternoon, the safari will continue in areas known for a high population of Asian elephants. Sri Lanka is among the few countries where a significant herd of this endangered species is preserved.

The safari will also seek out buffalos and Ceylon deer, as well as many native Asian reptiles found in Sri Lanka and parts of India. The tour concludes at the park entrance, followed by a return minibus ride to your hotel in Kandy, with a total duration of 10 hours.
