Minneriya National Park Safari

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Kandy to travel 2.5 hours by minibus to the beautiful natural space ofMinneriya National Park.

At the entrance, we'll board a jeep to start theMinneriya photograph safari around the wetlands of this protected area, known for its ecological value and diverse species including crocodiles and monkeys.

After a picnic stop, we'll continue the safari, focusing on the famous Minneriya elephants, which can weigh up to five tonnes. These animals are usually visible in small herds throughout the national park.

During the safari, we will also look for various species of Asian birds, such as pelicans, herons, and ibises, sharing the lakes and waterholes with Ceylon buffalos, which are peaceful despite their appearance.

To conclude the safari, we'll return to the minibus and head back to Kandy, arriving 8.5 hours after departure.
