8-Day Tour of the Best of Gambia

Day 1: Banjul - Sanyang

Upon arrival at Banjul airport, transfer to Sanyang to drop off your luggage at the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure for beach time and dinner on your own.

Day 2: Sanyang - Tendaba

After breakfast, travel to Tendaba, visiting towns along the way to learn about local culture. In the afternoon, partake in a mangrove boat ride to observe wildlife including birds and crocodiles. Dinner will be at your discretion.

Day 3: Tendaba - Sinchu Njugar - Kudang

Depart early for Sinchu Njugar, the capital of the Soma region. Explore the area and a traditional village to learn about local cuisine. Enjoy lunch on your own before a three-hour drive through Gambia River National Park to view wildlife. Dinner will be at the lodge.

Day 4: Kudang - Bintang Bolong

Post-breakfast, proceed to Bintang Bolong. After settling in, lunch is at leisure. Dinner will be at the accommodation.

Day 5: Bintang Bolong - Birkama - Sanyang

Morning visits to fishing villages followed by a trip to Birkama for the local handicrafts market. Lunch in Birkama, followed by a beach dinner with a bonfire and storytelling.

Day 6: Sanyang - Serekunda - Tanji - Sanyang

After breakfast, head to Serekunda for a batik demonstration. Enjoy free time for lunch before visiting Tanji for the local fish market. Return to Sanyang for dinner on your own.

Day 7: Sanyang - Katchikally - Sanyang

Visit Katchikally for the sacred crocodile pond. Lunch at leisure, followed by a visit to a primate reserve before returning to Sanyang.

Day 8: Sanyang - Bakau - Banjul

This final day is open for individual exploration. After lunch, depart for Bakau and arrive at Banjul Airport in time for your flight.
