8-Day Tour of the Best of Gambia

Day 1: Banjul - Sanyang

Welcome to Gambia! We'll pick you up at the airport in Banjul and drive to Sanyang to drop off your luggage at the hotel. The day is free for exploration, beach swimming, and dinner at your leisure.

Day 2: Sanyang - Tendaba

After breakfast, we travel south towards Tendaba, visiting various towns to learn about local culture. In Tendaba, you have free time for lunch before joining a boat ride through the mangroves for bird and animal watching. Dinner is on your own.

Day 3: Tendaba - Sinchu Njugar - Kudang

We depart at sunrise for Sinchu Njugar, the capital of the Soma region. A local tour will showcase the area's scenic beauty and culture. After lunch, we drive through the Gambia River National Park, potentially spotting hippos before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Day 4: Kudang - Bintang Bolong

After breakfast, we head to the Bintang Bolong area, the largest Gambia River tributary. Following lunch, the evening includes dinner at our accommodation in Bintang Bolong.

Day 5: Bintang Bolong - Birkama - Sanyang

We visit local fishing villages and then proceed to Birkama for its handicrafts market. Lunch is on your own in Birkama. In the evening, dinner on the beach includes a bonfire with traditional storytelling.

Day 6: Sanyang - Serekunda - Tanji - Sanyang

After breakfast, we travel to Serekunda for a batik demonstration. Free time for lunch is provided before visiting the coastal village of Tanji for a fish unloading experience. Dinner is on your own back in Sanyang.

Day 7: Sanyang - Katchikally - Sanyang

The day features a visit to Katchikally, a sacred crocodile pond, with free time for lunch afterward. We will also visit an ape reserve before returning to Sanyang.

Day 8: Sanyang - Bakau - Banjul

This final day in Sanyang is free for your personal plans. After lunch, we will drive to Bakau in time to reach Banjul Airport for your departure.
