Waimea Canyon & K?ke?e State Park Day Trip
This day trip includes pick-up from your hotel in Kauai. The first stop is at the Hanapepe Valley Lookout for a scenic view of the valley, followed by a visit to Kauai Coffee, Hawaii's largest coffee plantation, where a tasting is available. Next, we will visit the Hanapepe Swinging Bridge, a historic wooden pedestrian bridge.
The tour proceeds to Waimea Canyon, known as the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” where multiple stops at viewpoints will allow for admiring gorges, waterfalls, and cliffs. We will then head to Koke?e State Park for a short hiking trail surrounded by Hawaii's endemic flora and birds, including the ?apapane.
Lunch will be at the Koke?e Lodge Museum restaurant, with choices including chicken, ribs, or salad, along with a drink. After lunch, we will stop at the Pu?uhinahina Lookout for another scenic view of Waimea Canyon.
The tour also includes a brief visit to Waimea, the former site of King Kaumuali?i, and stops at the Russian Fort Elizabeth and the statue of King Kaumuali?i. Finally, the tour concludes at the Spouting Horn, where ocean waves create a water jet. The entire activity lasts approximately 10 hours before returning to your hotel.
