After being picked up from your hotel at the scheduled time, you'll begin your guided walking tour of Lombok's main city. Learn about the island's history, including the takeover by the Balinese in the 17th century and later Dutch control.

Visit a local market to experience daily life in Lombok, then explore the Mayura Water Palace, set in a large garden and home to the former king's family temple, surrounded by an artificial lake. Built in the 18th century by Balinese royalty, Mayura was involved in battles between the Balinese and the Dutch in 1894.

Next, head to Taman Narmada, a park created in the 18th century to resemble Mount Rinjani. See a replica of Lake Segara Anak, the crater lake from Mount Samalas's explosion, the Pura Kalasa temple, and a fountain believed to grant eternal youth.

For the final stop, visit Pura Lingsar, a temple complex among rice paddy fields that reflects the cultural heritage of Hinduism and Islam, housing temples for both religions.
