Bhaktapur Private Tour

After being picked up from your hotel in Kathmandu, you will travel east for less than an hour to the historic city of Bhaktapur, meaning "Place of Devotees". You will explore the ancient temples and traditional architecture typical of this region.

Your guided tour begins in the city center, where you will admire Bhaktapur's iconic monuments and landmarks, particularly Durbar Square, the royal palace of the former Bhaktapur Kingdom. The area features exquisitely carved Hindu temples dedicated to various deities, with the 15th century Palace of 55 Windows as a highlight of Nepali art.

Next, you will see Lu Dhowka, the golden gates leading to the palace, and continue to Nyatapola Temple, a five-storey pagoda from the early 1700s, and the Dattatreya Temple.

As you explore these remarkable buildings, which contribute to Bhaktapur's UNESCO World Heritage Site status, you will also encounter local shops and stalls selling traditional handicrafts. At the conclusion of your tour, you will return to Kathmandu and be dropped off at your hotel.
