On this excursion from Kathmandu, we'll climb aboard the Chandragiri Hills cable car to enjoy views of the Himalayas, including 5 of the 14 highest peaks in the world.

Chandragiri Cable Car

We will pick you up from your hotel in Kathmandu and depart for the Chandragiri Hills cable car to see panoramic views. After a half-hour drive through Thamel district, we will arrive at the station to board the cable car and begin the ascent to an altitude of 8,366 feet (2,551 meters).

During the ride, you will see the surrounding hills and Mount Everest. The cable car windows will allow you to relax and admire the snow-capped peaks. On clear days, you may catch sight of 5 of the 14 highest peaks.

At the top, you will have an hour and a half for lunch and to visit a Hindu temple. Chandragiri is known for its sacredness, attracting Hindu pilgrims daily.

After four hours of exploring the views, we will return to your hotel in Kathmandu.

Visits to the Himalayas are subject to weather conditions. If it is cloudy, the mountain range may not be visible.
