Day Trip to Dakshinkali

At a time that suits you, we will collect you from your accommodation in Kathmandu. Following that, we will embark on a delightful one-hour journey to the enchanting village of Dakshinkali, located to the south of the capital.

Our adventure will commence with a leisurely walk through the village, renowned for its breathtaking vistas of prominent Himalayan peaks, including Manaslu and Dorje Lhakpa. On a clear day, the majestic outline of Everest may also be visible in the distance.

Next, we will explore the Dakshinkali Temple, a revered site dedicated to Kali, known for her four arms. As we approach the shrine, we will witness the rituals where devotees offer sacrifices, including roosters, ducks, goats, and sometimes buffaloes.

Furthermore, we will delve into various Hindu traditions and practices associated with the worship of Kali. We will observe how followers incorporate different bells and vibrant ceremonial necklaces into their rites.
