Kathmandu Spiritual Tour Itinerary
On the day of your tour, you'll meet your guide at 3 pm at the Hotel Marshyangdi in Kathmandu. You will board a public bus and head to Boudhanath Stupa, the largest stupa in Nepal, where you will follow the pilgrims turning the prayer wheels. You will have the opportunity to light a butter lamp, which aids in meditation, and engage with some monks at the temple complex.
Next, you will take a public bus to Pashupatinath, one of the most significant Hindu temples worldwide. Your guide will explain the Hindu perspective on the cycle of birth and death. As you explore the pagoda-style temple complex, you will learn about the story of the Sadhus, holy individuals who have renounced worldly life.
As sunset approaches, you will enjoy a walk to the sacred Bagmati River for a chance to observe a cremation ceremony, a traditional Hindu ritual.
Your spiritual journey concludes with an opportunity to dine at a local restaurant (meal not included). After enjoying Nepalese cuisine, you will have a chance to consult one of the country's popular astrologists.
The tour will end around 8 pm.
