Kathmandu Temples Tour Details

On the day of your tour, you will be picked up from your hotel at 9 am. The first stop will be Durbar Square, a historic square in front of the old royal palace of the former Newar Kingdom of Kathmandu and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is considered the heart of the old town, showcasing Nepal's architectural heritage.

Next, you will travel by bus to Pashupatinath temple, located about 20 minutes east of Kathmandu Valley. This significant Hindu complex is on the banks of the sacred River Bagmati, dating back to the 5th century and dedicated to Shiva, consisting of over 500 temples, monuments, and ashrams in pagoda style.

Following this, the tour proceeds to Boudhanath, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, which has long served as a spiritual place in Kathmandu.

The final stop will be Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. Its architecture, colorful prayer flags, and the paintings of the Buddha's eyes and eyebrows are notable features. This monument is recognized as one of Kathmandu's iconic landmarks.

At the end of your tour, you will be dropped back off at your hotel at 5 pm.
