Temples, palaces and golden sculptures: immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Patan, the third largest city in Nepal, on this private tour from Kathmandu with your own exclusive English speaking guide.

Patan Private Tour

After picking you up from your hotel in Kathmandu at the selected time, we will leave the Nepalese capital, setting off on a short 30-minute drive to Patan.

Upon arrival in Patan, also known as Lalitpur, we will embark on a guided walking tour of its historic center. Patan is one of the oldest Buddhist cities in the world, ready to reveal its charms, secrets and legends.

We will spend two and a half hours exploring Patan, admiring its most emblematic monuments, including the famous Durbar, or Royal Palace Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with around twenty historic buildings that served the Malla kings when Patan was an independent city-state.

The excursion includes visits to Buddhist and Hindu temples, water conduits, intricately carved gates and sculptures. We will stop at the Golden Gate, the entrance to the Royal Palace, and view the sculpture of Yogendra Malla. Our guide will provide insights into the significance of these sites.

The tour concludes with a drop-off at your hotel in Kathmandu after three and a half hours of exploring the rich culture of Patan.
