Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour

At 8 am, pickup will be from your hotel in Katowice. The drive to Auschwitz-Birkenau will take approximately 1 hour. The site includes numerous camps. The tour will begin at Auschwitz I, initially a concentration camp for political prisoners, later expanding to include other targeted groups like Jews, homosexuals, Romani people, and the intelligentsia. At the camp's entrance, we will see the inscription "Arbeit macht frei". You'll learn about the small cells and work areas of the prisoners.

Next, the tour will proceed to Auschwitz II-Birkenau, the extermination camp where many were sent to their deaths. Here, the remains of the crematoriums and gas chambers can be observed, which were destroyed by German troops.

The tour concludes back in Katowice at 3 pm.
