Myra & Kekova + St. Nicholas Church Tour
At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Kemer. We will drive through the Taurus Mountains to reach the Turkish Riviera.
Upon arrival, we will board a boat to sail to the sunken city of Kekova. This uninhabited island hides the remains of an ancient Lycian city submerged by an earthquake, where we will see archaeological vestiges, including the funerary monuments of Simena.
Next, we will disembark and travel to Myra, another ancient Lycian city known for its stone-carved tombs. We will visit its necropolis, Roman theater, and amphitheater. We will also proceed to the church of St. Nicholas in the nearby village of Demre, where the remains of St. Nicholas, the inspiration for Santa Claus, are buried.
After the sightseeing, we will enjoy a varied buffet lunch at a local restaurant in Demre. Finally, we will return to Kemer and drop you off at your hotel around 5 pm.
