Are you familiar with the legend of the mount of the Eternal Fire? On this tour to the Fires of Yanarta? from Kemer, we'll discover this magical landmark.

Yanarta? Eternal Flame Tour

At 4.30 pm, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Kemer and head towards the town of Cirali, passing by villages such as Kuzdere, Camyuva, and Tekirova.

In Cirali, we will visit its 3-kilometer (1.8 mile) beach to enjoy the last rays of sunshine, with options for swimming and strolling along the shore.

As the sun sets, we will begin our ascent to Mount Chimera, following a stone path. At the summit, we will witness the Yanartas fires, which burn continuously at night.

These fires are related to the legend of the Lycian king Iobates who asked Bellerophon to defeat Chimera, a fire-breathing monster. With divine assistance, Bellerophon managed to imprison Chimera, leaving the eternal flames burning.

The flames are caused by methane gases that escape through fissures in the mountain. They also served as a beacon for sailors in the past.

After this experience, we'll proceed to Ulupinar for a dinner amidst trees and springs, featuring a main course, salad, and seasonal fruit for dessert.

Finally, we will return to Kemer, dropping you off at your hotel around 11.30 pm, concluding the tour.
