On this plane excursion to Clark Lake, we will observe bears in their natural habitat and learn about their behaviors and characteristics.
Description
The adventure begins at Citabria Street, 15 kilometers from downtown Kenai, where a plane awaits to fly us to Clark Lake. During the flight over Cook Inlet, participants may see Alaskan volcanoes and the wilderness of the Clark Lake Reserve.
After approximately 30 minutes, we will arrive and start a 3-kilometer hike through Lake Clark National Park. We will carefully approach known bear hotspots while respecting their space. Participants will learn about bear diets, sizes, and species diversity along the hike.
A picnic lunch is included, featuring a wrap, a cereal bar, and fruit, providing energy before heading back to the aircraft.
