With this desert safari from Kerman, you can explore the kalouts of the Shahdad desert, known as the hottest desert globally.
Activity Details
The tour begins with a 9 am hotel pickup in Kerman, followed by a drive of approximately one and a half hours to the village of Shadad, where extremely high temperatures are recorded. In the Shahdad Desert or Lut Desert, you will encounter the kalouts, notable rock and sand formations. You can choose to explore this area on a camel or quad bike.
During the safari, stories about the kalouts, referred to locally as yardangs, will be shared. After the desert exploration, the route shifts towards the village of Keshit, where will notice a change to a landscape featuring palm trees, waterfalls, and a riverbed.
In Keshit, you can enjoy lunch at a local Arab food stall with Persian influences. The tour concludes with a return journey to Kerman at approximately 5 pm.
