Hell's Kitchen Day Trip
After meeting in Watamu Bay at the indicated time, we will travel to one of the most unique places in Kenya, the Grand Canyon. Located near the coastal town of Malindi, Hell's Kitchen Gorge offers an eroded landscape of Eastern Kenya. Once there, we will explore the canyon and discover peculiar rock formations shaped by wind erosion, including the Map of Africa and the Rhinoceros Head.
The name "Hell's Kitchen" is derived from the high temperatures in the area, which can reach up to 50° Celsius (120° Fahrenheit) during the day. We will share legends about Hell's Kitchen while admiring its reddish color. The experience of witnessing a sunrise or sunset here is remarkable.
We will return to Watamu, arriving back 5 hours after departure.
