We'll cross the River Nore and head towards the church of St. John the Evangelist, a neo-Gothic style chapel built in the early twentieth century. We'll review its history and discover why Kilkenny is known as the city of marble.

Of course, we'll admire the exterior of the imposing fortress of Kilkenny, whose origins date back to the 12th century. The stories surrounding this place will amaze you! We'll talk about the Butler family, the dynasty that inhabited this castle, and its connection to the Norman conquest of Ireland.
