La Soufriere Volcano Hike
Our day begins at 9:00 am at the cruise terminal in Kingstown, where we will board a bus destined for the La Soufriere volcano. After an enjoyable hour’s ride through Arnos Vale and Calliaqua, we’ll reach the base of the volcano. A knowledgeable guide will accompany us throughout this excursion to ensure we don’t miss any interesting details.
The hike will last roughly four hours, covering a distance of about 15 kilometers (9 miles) as we explore this active volcano, which last erupted in 1979. We will follow the Rabacca trail, heading towards the crater, where the clouds envelop our surroundings, offering breathtaking views of the crater.
During our trek, there will be several opportunities to pause and admire the lush vegetation that flourishes along the route. Once we complete our exploration, we will head back to the bus for our return trip to Kingstown, with an estimated arrival time of 3 pm.
