Reindeer Farm Experience

Our meeting point is set for the designated time on Leviraitti street in Kittilä. We will then embark on our journey to a reindeer farm located just outside the town. Are you excited to encounter these charming Lappish animals?

Once we reach the farm, an experienced handler will welcome us and provide fascinating information about these remarkable creatures. We will discover the essential care they receive, learn about their behavior, their diet, and many intriguing facts.

Additionally, we will witness the training process they undergo for sled-pulling, which is a beloved tradition in this region. These reindeer are indeed known for being the sleigh drivers for Santa Claus! Though they roam semi-wild, they are among the gentlest animals found in Finland.

After savoring this unique experience at the reindeer farm, we will head back to our starting location in Kittilä, concluding the excursion in approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.
