The former Portuguese colony of Malacca, also spelled Melaka, has a rich history. This full-day trip from Kuala Lumpur explores its significance as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Trip Details

Pickup from your hotel in Kuala Lumpur occurs at the scheduled time, followed by a 2-hour drive to Malacca.

Upon arrival in the old town, enjoy a guided tour of the historic center of Malacca. Visits include St. Peter's Church, the oldest Roman Catholic church in Malaysia, and the Santiago Gate, the only remnant of the fortress of A Famosa.

Additional stops include the Malacca Museum and Red Square, known for its notable Christ Church. A traditional Malaysian lunch will follow at a local restaurant. After lunch, explore Jonker Street and view the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, Malaysia's oldest Buddhist shrine.

The tour concludes with a walk along the river before returning to Kuala Lumpur, with hotel arrival scheduled for 10 hours after pickup.

Hotel Pickup

Pickup is available from hotels in the Golden Triangle of Kuala Lumpur, excluding specific areas. For others, pickup at Berjaya Times Square Shopping Centre is arranged. Pickup is only included for a minimum of 2 persons, with a 50RM charge per person for pickups outside specified areas.

Partial Closures

St. Peter's Church and Red Square are closed on Mondays. Entry to the church requires appropriate attire—no shorts.

No hotel pickup will be available on June 28, 2026, or October 3 and 4, 2026, due to a local event impacting traffic. On these dates, meet at the entrance of Berjaya Times Square shopping mall.
