PADI Open Water Diving Course

Day 1: Theory

On the first day, you'll watch videos and complete the Knowledge Reviews of the Padi Open Water Digital Manual. This theory part is self-study and can be done at our dive center or partially at your accommodation if you have your own tablet or smartphone. You'll also create your Padi Account for access to digital materials. Your instructor will review your work at the end of the day.

Day 2: Confined water practice

On the second day, you'll meet your instructor at the dive center to start the practical part of the course. The instructor will brief you about the equipment and how to set it up. You'll complete Confined Water practice in a swimming pool to learn scuba skills, which will be practiced again in the following days. The practical session usually takes half a day, followed by more theory.

Day 3: Open water dives

On the third day, you'll go for your first 2 dives in the ocean with a maximum depth of 40 feet. You'll receive a briefing from your instructor to ensure understanding of the material. After the dives, you'll return to finish remaining theory or confined water components.

Day 4: Final Day

On the last day, you'll complete your last 2 dives, reaching a maximum depth of 60 feet. If theory is finished, there will be a focus on celebration after the dives. Dive sites will be chosen with training requirements and safety in mind, and you will likely see plenty of marine life. The course will conclude by lunchtime, allowing for afternoon departures or the option to extend your stay for more fun dives with a 10% discount.

Important Information

After your last dive, you should wait at least 24 hours before boarding a plane or going to high-altitude areas.
