Dolphin Sighting Experience

Experience something very unique in the Indian Ocean and enjoy the beauty of the Knysna coastline on this dolphin-spotting activity. Discover the beauty of these animals!

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet in Thesen Harbour Town. Here, you'll receive your lifejackets and a brief orientation about the upcoming activity. Afterwards, we'll proceed to the Knysna harbour to board a boat for an experience with dolphins.

We'll sail along the Knysna estuary until we reach the Knysna Heads cliffs, where we will enter the Indian Ocean.

During the sail, we will have opportunities to spot three species of dolphins: the bottlenose, the common dolphin, and the humpback dolphin, with the latter being an endangered species. In addition to dolphins, sightings may include Cape seals, African penguins, and sharks.

This tour also offers stunning views of the coastline along the famous Garden Route, noted for its scenic beauty. The experience concludes after an hour and a half of sailing, returning to the meeting point.
