Dolphin Sighting Experience

Experience something very unique in the Indian Ocean and enjoy the beauty of the Knysna coastline on this dolphin-spotting activity. Discover the beauty of these animals!

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet in Thesen Harbour Town. Here, you'll be given your lifejackets and a short chat about the activity. Afterwards, we'll walk towards the Knysna harbour to board a boat and begin this experience among the dolphins.

We'll sail along the Knysna estuary until we arrive at the imposing Knysna Heads cliffs, two prominent rocks in the area. Once there, we'll enter the Indian Ocean.

While sailing, we'll have the chance to spot three different species of dolphin: bottlenose, common dolphin, and humpback dolphin, the latter being an endangered species. Additionally, we may see Cape seals, African penguins, and even sharks.

This tour includes stunning views of the coastline along the famous Garden Route, one of the most scenic roads in South Africa. After an hour and a half of sailing, we will return to the meeting point to conclude this experience.
