Sail Rock Scuba Diving Experience

Sail Rock is a notable dive site in the Gulf of Thailand. Enjoy the clear waters after a boat trip from Koh Tao.

Important information

This activity is suitable for certified divers who have dived in the previous 12 months. Beginners should book a different diving activity off the coasts of Koh Tao.

You must visit the diving center by 2 pm the day before the activity to present your official diver certificate and fill out a personal information form. Failure to do this will prevent participation.

Sail Rock Scuba Diving Experience

The excursion starts at the indicated time from the diving center in Sairee Beach. After brief instructions from your English-speaking monitor, you will depart for Sail Rock, a notable crag in the Gulf of Thailand. The journey lasts approximately one and a half hours, during which free drinks and snacks will be available on board. At Sail Rock, participants will be divided into two groups: one for Open Water Divers (up to 18 meters) and another for advanced divers (up to 30 meters), with each group completing a total of two immersions.

Dive at Sail Rock to discover diverse marine flora and fauna, including schools of fish, 2-meter barracudas, impressive corals, and potentially a shark whale, which is harmless despite its size.

After completing the two immersions, we will return to Sairee Beach six hours after departure.

More important information

If you have a diver certification but have not dived in over a year, you may still book this activity by completing a scuba refresher class, which costs 700 Thai bahts (approximately 19 EUR) payable on the day of the activity.

This activity may be affected by weather conditions. The boat captain can cancel the departure if conditions are risky for navigation to the dive site.
