PADI Open Water Diving Course in Koh Samui

To become certified divers, you must first pass an online theory exam to start the practical section. Passwords will be provided well in advance to allow course completion from home.

After completing the theory, you'll meet at the Koh Samui dive centre to begin the PADI Open Water course.

Day 1: Confined waters practice

The first day starts with a pick-up from your hotel at 8:30 am to take you to the dive centre. You will complete a medical form and start the first practice session in confined waters. Equipment will be donned to practice exercises such as assisting a companion with oxygen, floating, and mask use. Return to your hotel is scheduled at 2:45 pm.

Day 2 & 3: Dives in open waters

The second and third days involve four dives in open waters, necessary to complete your PADI Open Water course. Hotel pick-up is at 7 am each day to take you to the boat.

Dive sites include Koh Tao and Sail Rock, subject to sea conditions. Practice involves equipment handling, compass orientation underwater, and removing vests while submerged. You will explore various areas in the Gulf of Thailand. After all exercises, you will receive your PADI Open Water certificate and be returned to your hotel by 3:30 pm.

Lunch

Lunch is included during the course days, offering a buffet of rice, noodles, salad, fish, and fresh fruit.

Important Information

This activity includes pick-up at hotels in central Koh Samui. For hotels in the western or southern areas, an additional fee of 800 THB (approximately 26 USD) per person is required on the activity day. Alternatively, you may travel to the meeting point on your own.
