PADI Open Water Diving Course in Koh Samui

To become certified divers, you must first pass an online theory exam to start the practical section. The passwords will be sent in advance to complete the course at home.

After completing the theory course, you will meet at the Koh Samui dive centre to begin your PADI Open Water course.

Day 1: Confined waters practice

The first day involves a pick-up from your hotel at 8:30 am for the dive centre. You will fill out a medical form and begin the first practice session in confined waters. Equipment will be fitted, and you'll practice various exercises, including assisting a diver who runs out of oxygen. After the session, you will be taken back to your hotel at 2:45 pm.

Day 2 & 3: Dives in open waters

The second and third days involve four dives in open waters, essential for completing your PADI Open Water course. Pick-up will be at 7 am on both days to take you to the boat.

Dive sites will be Koh Tao and Sail Rock, depending on sea conditions, to test your abilities and earn your certificate. Training will include equipment handling, underwater orientation, and exploration of marine life around the Gulf of Thailand. After completing all exercises, you'll receive your PADI Open Water certificate and be returned to your hotel by 3:30 pm.

Lunch

Lunch is included during the course days, featuring a buffet of rice, noodles, salad, fish, and fresh fruit.

Important Information

This activity includes hotel pick-up in central Koh Samui. For western or southern areas, an additional fee of 800 TBH (approx. 26 USD) per person is required on the activity day. Alternatively, you can arrange your own transportation to the meeting point.
