PADI Open Water Diving Course in Koh Samui

To become certified divers, you must first pass an online theory exam before starting the practical section. Passwords will be provided in advance so you can complete the course from home, saving travel time.

After completing the theory, you will meet at the Koh Samui dive centre to begin your PADI Open Water course.

Day 1: Confined waters practice

On the first day, pick-up from your hotel in Koh Samui will occur at 8:30 am to take you to the dive centre, where you'll fill out a medical form and begin confined waters practice. Equipment will be donned for practice exercises, including assisting a companion with oxygen issues and other safety skills.

You will be returned to your hotel at 2:45 pm.

Day 2 & 3: Dives in open waters

The second and third days will comprise four dives in open waters, essential for the certification. Pick-up will be at 7 am to take you to the boat. Dive sites will include Koh Tao and Sail Rock, depending on sea conditions, allowing you to develop your diving skills while exploring the Gulf of Thailand.

Following the completion of exercises, you will receive your PADI Open Water certificate and return to your hotel at 3:30 pm.

Lunch

Lunch is included during course days, featuring a buffet of rice, noodles, salad, fish, and fresh fruit.

Important Information

This activity includes hotel pick-up for locations in central Koh Samui. An additional fee of 800 TBH (approximately 26 USD) will apply for those in western or southern areas of the island. Alternatively, you may arrange your own transport to the meeting point.
