Rosenborg Castle Guided Tour Itinerary
Meet your English-speaking guide at the archway marking the main entrance to Rosenborg Castle, set in the historic center of Copenhagen. Begin your visit exploring the beautiful gardens with vibrant tulips and roses surrounding the lake. Construction of the castle began in the 17th century under King Christian IV, known for his architectural projects and military conquests.
Inside Rosenborg Castle, you will visit its palatial chambers, witnessing detailed decorations reflective of historical fashions. The tour features remarkable art pieces once owned by royals, including silver furniture and tapestries illustrating Danish war victories.
Furthermore, you will explore the Schatzkammer, or Treasure Chamber, displaying the Danish Crown Jewels and Crown Regalia, including crowns and tiaras from the 15th to 19th centuries. Some pieces are still worn by the current queen of Denmark, Margrethe II.
Your guided tour concludes at the original meeting point by the archway.
