Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at number 14 Amaliegade to begin a special free tour of Copenhagen. The tour includes a visit to The Little Mermaid.

We will first pass by the Copenhagen Opera House, then head to St Alban's Church, the only Anglican church in Denmark. Next, we'll visit the Amalie Gardens, connected to Amalienborg Palace, where we will discuss Denmark's colonial history and the Fireburn Revolt.

This will lead us to Kastellet Fortress, one of the oldest fortresses in Northern Europe. After exiting, we will arrive at the Little Mermaid sculpture, an icon of the city inspired by a tale by Hans Christian Andersen.

Nearby, we will see the Gefion Fountain, depicting a goddess who created Zealand. We will then continue to Nyboder, the historic fishing district with orange houses built in 1757 for the Royal Danish Navy.

Finally, we will conclude our tour at Kongens Have, The King's Garden, after 2.5 hours.
