Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at Vester Voldgade 2, right in the heart of the Danish capital. After getting your helmet and bike, we'll begin our bike tour of Copenhagen, where you'll explore the city's charm while visiting the most iconic landmarks with a guide. Let's start this unforgettable adventure in the world's best cycling city!
First, we'll see the Rådhuspladsen, Copenhagen's City Hall, and the Tivoli Gardens, one of Copenhagen's most beautiful spots. It's one of the oldest theme parks in the world! Then, we'll head to the Christiansborg Castle, the current seat of Parliament. We'll then go to the Black Diamond, an extension to the Royal Danish Library's old building, located in the city's port area. This modern waterfront gets its name because of its polished black granite and irregular angles.
Next, we'll set off to Christianshavn, a neighborhood filled with canals, where we'll admire the Church of Our Saviour, a Baroque church famous for its spiral staircase that offers stunning views over the city center. Did you know that this church has a carillon that plays melodies every hour? We'll then see Nyhavn, the city's most famous canal.
The next stop on our bike tour will be Amalienborg, the official residence of the Danish royal family. Here, depending on the time, you may even witness the change of guards! Then, we'll see the colossal Gefion Fountain, depicting the Norse goddess Gefjon driving a group of oxen. Afterward, we'll visit a sculpture that's become the symbol of Copenhagen—The Little Mermaid. This bronze statue, located in the city's port, was created in homage to the famous character created by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen.
We'll then cycle to the pentagon-shaped Kastellet, a citadel and one of the best-preserved fortresses in Europe. Our next stop will be the iconic Rosenborg Castle, the perfect example of Dutch Renaissance architecture. The last stop on our bike tour will be Torvehallerne, the city's largest food market.
Finally, after 3 hours, we'll return to the initial starting point, where our bike tour will come to an end.
