Kronborg Castle Day Trip Itinerary

Your excursion will begin at Copenhagen Central Station, where you'll board a train heading to Helsingør. After approximately one hour, you'll arrive at Helsingør Railway Station and walk 20 minutes to Kronborg Castle, a 15th-century fortress and World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Enter the castle via a bridge and explore its interior, learning about the historical significance and legends of Hamlet. Afterwards, stroll around the castle's exterior to view the cannons and gardens, which provide excellent views of the Øresund Strait.

Following your guided tour, you'll return to Helsingør train station around 12 pm for your return train to Copenhagen.

Important information

This day trip does not include transport or entrance to Kronborg Castle. A 24-hour train ticket costs 130DKK per person. The entrance fee for Kronborg Castle is 90DKK from September to May and 140DKK from June to August; children under 18 enter for free. If you have the Copenhagen Card, transport and entrance are included.
