Rafting in Voidomatis River
At the scheduled time, we'll meet you at the rafting base located in Kleidonia, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) from Ioannina. A bus will take us to the starting point of the rafting adventure.
Departing from Zagorochoria, we'll board the rafts for a rafting activity that covers 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) on the Voidomatis river. Its name, meaning Ox's Eye, refers to the blue color reminiscent of the waters. You will see the turquoise sections of this river in northwest Greece.
This tour includes a journey through the landscapes of the Vikos-Aoos National Park, featuring historical sites such as the monastery of St. Anargiroi, from the sixteenth century, and the Ottoman bridge of Politsa.
We will navigate past waterfalls and dams, inviting you to overcome natural obstacles during this two-and-a-half-hour rafting experience.
After this time, we'll return to the starting point to conclude the tour.
