Rafting in Voidomatis River
At the scheduled time, we'll meet you at the rafting base located in Kleidonia, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) from Ioannina. Here, a bus will take us to the starting point for the rafting adventure.
Departing from Zagorochoria, we'll board the rafts and begin our rafting activity on the Voidomatis River, which runs for 7 kilometers (4.3 miles). The river's name means Ox's Eye, reflecting its turquoise waters similar to the eyes of oxen. During our trip, you'll see the stunning blue stretches of this river in northwest Greece.
The tour will lead us through the landscapes of the Vikos-Aoos National Park, where we will encounter sites like the monastery of St. Anargiroi from the sixteenth century and the Ottoman bridge of Politsa.
We will navigate past waterfalls and dams, and you’ll face natural obstacles during this two-and-a-half-hour rafting tour. After completing this experience, we'll return to the starting point.
