Discover the wildest side of Indonesia with this cruise of 3 days or more around Borneo in which you will meet and play with orangutans in their natural habitat.

Description

Day 1

We will meet at Iskandar airport in the morning and head to Kumai. From there, we will board our klotok, a traditional wooden Indonesian boat, for a three-day cruise through Borneo.

We will drift down the Sekonyer river to the Tanjung Harapan rehabilitation center for Orangutans, observing wildlife such as the proboscis monkey, Macaques, and exotic birds.

At the reserve, you will see the orangutans in their natural habitat. After, we will return to the Klotok for sunset over the Sekonyer river followed by a candlelight meal on board.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will head to the camp at Pondok Tanggui to observe orangutans of all ages. Next, we will travel to Leakey camp for two hours, during which lunch will be served on board.

At Camp Leakey, you can choose to hike through the jungle or visit the information center. Later, we will visit the Nipa Palm area to admire fireflies, although sightings cannot be guaranteed.

We'll conclude the day with a night trek to search for orangutans, followed by dinner on board.

Day 3

We will have breakfast on the boat before traveling to Kumai. From there, an air-conditioned vehicle will take us to the airport in Pangkalan Bun by around 9:30 am to conclude our journey.

4 day cruise

With this option, you can extend your experience, visit a reforestation center, plant trees, and explore a local village to learn about customs and traditions.
