Private Borneo Cruise and Orangutan Sighting

Cruise Details

Day 1

We will meet at Iskandar airport in the morning and head to Kumai. Here, we will board our klotok, a traditional wooden Indonesian boat for the 3-day cruise through Borneo.

We will drift down the Sekonyer river to the Tanjung Harapan rehabilitation center for Orangutans, observing wildlife such as proboscis monkeys and exotic birds. At the reserve, you will see orangutans in the jungle.

Following this, we will return to the klotok for a sunset view over the river and enjoy a candlelight meal surrounded by jungle sounds.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will visit the camp at Pondok Tanggui to view orangutans. Next, we will travel to Leakey camp with time to relax and enjoy a meal on board.

At Camp Leakey, you have the option to hike through the jungle or visit the information center. We will also explore the Nipa Palm area, known as the home of fireflies. Note that sighting fireflies cannot be guaranteed.

In the evening, we will have a night trek to search for orangutans and conclude the day with dinner on board.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will travel along the river to Kumai, arriving at approximately 9:30 am for transfer to Pangkalan Ban airport, concluding our cruise.

Tour Accommodation

Accommodation will be on a traditional klotok, equipped with mattresses, cushions, a mosquito net, kitchen, and bathroom. A professional crew will attend to guests.

What Do I Need for This Tour?

You need a return flight to Pangkalan Bun Iskandar Airport arriving before 12 midday on the day of your tour and departing three days later.
