Cruise Details

Day 1

Meet at Iskandar airport in the morning and head to Kumai. Board the klotok, a traditional wooden boat, for the 3-day cruise. Drift down the Sekonyer river to the Tanjung Harapan rehabilitation center for Orangutans, observing wildlife such as proboscis monkeys and exotic birds. At the reserve, you will see orangutans in their natural environment. Afterward, return to the klotok for sunset over the river and enjoy a candlelight meal while listening to jungle sounds.

Day 2

Wake at dawn for breakfast before heading to the camp at Pondok Tanggui to watch orangutans. Then, travel to Leakey camp on the klotok, with time to relax and enjoy a meal on board. Choose to hike through the jungle or visit the information center at Camp Leakey. Later, visit the Nipa Palm area, known for fireflies (sighting not guaranteed). A night trek to seek orangutans will conclude the day, followed by dinner and rest on the klotok.

Day 3

Enjoy breakfast on the boat before traveling to Kumai. Board an air-conditioned vehicle for transfer to Pangkalan Bun airport by around 9:30 am, concluding the cruise.

Tour Accommodation

Accommodation is provided in a traditional klotok, approximately 50 feet in length, featuring mattresses, cushions, a mosquito net, kitchen, and bathroom. A professional crew, including a captain, chef, and English-speaking guide, will attend to you.

What Do I Need for This Tour?

You require a return flight to Pangkalan Bun Iskandar Airport, arriving before 12 midday the day before your tour and departing three days later. For the 4-day tour, your departure must be on the fourth day.
