Private Borneo Cruise and Orangutan Sighting

Cruise Details

Day 1

We will meet at Iskandar airport in the morning and head to Kumai, where we will board our klotok, a traditional wooden Indonesian boat for the cruise. We will drift down the Sekonyer river to the Tanjung Harapan rehabilitation center for Orangutans, encountering wildlife such as proboscis monkeys, macaques, and exotic birds. At Tanjung Harapan, you will see orangutans in their jungle habitat. We will return to the klotok for a sunset view over the river followed by a candlelight meal.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will visit the camp at Pondok Tanggui to observe orangutans of all ages. We will then travel to Leakey camp, during which you can relax and enjoy a meal on board. At Camp Leakey, you can choose to hike through the jungle or visit the information center. Later, we will explore the Nipa Palm area, also known as the house of fireflies, with a note that sightings are not guaranteed. A night trek will follow to search for orangutans, concluding with dinner on board.

Day 3

We will have breakfast on board and travel to Kumai, where we will board an air-conditioned vehicle to Pangkalan Ban airport by approximately 9:30 am to conclude our cruise.

Tour Accommodation

Accommodation will be on a traditional klotok, equipped with mattresses, cushions, a mosquito net, kitchen, and bathroom. A professional crew, including a captain, chef, and English-speaking guide, will be available throughout the tour.

What Do I Need for This Tour?

You need a return flight to Pangkalan Bun Iskandar Airport, arriving the day before the tour starts before 12 midday, and departing three days later.
