SSI Open Water Diver Course

Day 1: Confined waters

The SSI Open Water Diver Course is suitable for travellers wanting to learn to scuba dive in the Andaman Sea. The first day begins at 10 am at the dive centre, where you will practice basic techniques for two hours using the theory studied at home. After a two-hour break for lunch (not included), you will reconvene at 2 pm for a two-hour dive in confined waters. The day ends at 6 pm at the meeting point.

Day 2: Scuba diving

On the second day, meet at 7:20 am or 1:20 pm, depending on your preference. After getting equipped, you will explore the underwater life around Koh Phi Phi Le with an hour of diving around coral reefs, followed by a brief surface break. You'll dive again for a second hour and test for the SSI Open Water certificate after approximately four and a half hours of diving, concluding at the meeting point.

Day 3: Scuba diving

On the third day, you will dive again in Koh Phi Phi Lee, participating in two one-hour dives. You can choose your starting time during booking.

Scuba diving theory

You will receive a dossier on the theory of scuba diving after reservation, which must be studied at home and brought on the first course day.

Who can participate in this activity?

Participants must pass a swimming test: 200 meters freestyle with no time limit on the first day.
