Immerse yourself in the captivating history of Kristiansand, the capital of southern Norway, on our guided tour. Together, we'll wander through the charming old town, explore its vibrant fish market, visit the renowned Cathedral, and discover other fascinating points of interest along the way.

Description

At the designated time, we'll meet up at the port of Kristiansand, ready to embark on a journey through time to explore the history and prominent landmarks of this city in southern Norway.

Kristiansand was named after the Danish King Christian IV. We'll delve into the 17th century to examine this history. Since then, Kristiansand has played a key role in the region's trade, evident by the city's fortress.

The fish market is significant in the heart of the historic center, characterized by its wooden structure.

We will continue our stroll along the marina, alongside the banks of the river Otra, and venture into the Posebyen district, which has one of the largest concentrations of old houses in Scandinavia and survived a devastating fire in the 19th century.

Before concluding, we'll pass by the magnificent Kristiansand Cathedral. After 2.5 hours of exploration, we can part ways in the center of Kristiansand or return together to the starting point, depending on your preference.
