If you're a history buff and are in Maui, this excursion to Pearl Harbor and Honolulu is a must. We'll learn about one of the key episodes of World War II.
Pearl Harbor & Honolulu Plane Excursion
Meet at the appointed time at Kahului Airport on Maui for a flight to the island of Oahu, where we'll take a tour of Pearl Harbor and Honolulu.
Upon landing on Oahu, we'll board a bus for our first stop, the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. There, we'll tour key sites of Hawaii's largest natural harbor, where the December 7, 1941, attack occurred.
During the visit, you'll learn about one of the most infamous military offensives in history through informative panels and historical photographs. The tour includes admission to the USS Arizona Memorial, built on the wreckage of the sunken ship as a tribute to the victims. We will also visit the USS Missouri, the last battleship built by the U.S. Navy.
After about four and a half hours of sightseeing at Pearl Harbor, we'll board the bus for a tour of historic downtown Honolulu. You'll have time for lunch on your own before continuing the tour, passing by Kawaiaha?o Church, the King Kamehameha Statue, and Iolani Palace.
The next visit will be to the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu's Punchbowl Crater, which memorializes those who served in the United States Armed Forces.
We'll conclude the tour back at the Oahu airport to return to Maui, with a total of 14 hours of sightseeing.
