Ephesus Day Trip

You will be picked up from your hotel in Kusadasi and travel inland to the Turkish province of Izmir.

The first stop will be the House of the Virgin Mary, a historic Catholic Shrine. It is traditionally believed that Saint John brought Mary here after the crucifixion. You will learn about its significance during your visit.

Next, you will embark on a guided tour of the Ephesus archaeological site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring well-preserved ruins. Highlights include the Library of Celsus, a remarkable Roman building serving as a mausoleum for Tiberius Julius Celsus and as a storage for over 10,000 scrolls.

Your guide will also take you to the Temple of Hadrian and the Roman Theatre of Ephesus, both well-preserved.

Following your visit to Ephesus, you will head to the town of Selçuk for a break for lunch featuring local specialties. After lunch, you will visit the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the Isa Bey Mosque, dating back to the 14th century.

From Isa Bey, you will return to Kusadasi, concluding your tour after 5-7 hours.
