Day Trip to Funzi Island

Travel back in time on this day trip to Funzi Island, known for its mangrove forests and lack of electricity or roads, making it an ideal escape from city life.

Description

We will pick you up from your hotel in Diani at the scheduled time to start the day trip to Funzi Island. The journey to Bodo takes approximately 40 minutes, passing through the scenic village of Shirazi, where you can see the green sugar cane fields and the Ramisi Sugar Factory.

Upon arrival, we will board a motorized canoe for an adventure down the Ramisi River, which hosts a variety of bird species. At low tide, we will stop at the stunning sand banks of Funzi for relaxation, swimming in crystal-clear waters, and sunbathing.

Lunch will include seafood, grilled fish, and rice with coconut. Afterward, enjoy some free time on the beach to unwind.

We will regroup to explore the village in Funzi, where you can learn about the local community's history and culture and interact with the locals to experience their traditional practices and lifestyle.

After this four-hour tour, we will return you to your hotel in Diani.
