Day Trip to Funzi Island

Travel back in time on this day trip to Funzi Island, famous for its mangrove forests and where you'll find no electricity or roads. An ideal getaway from the busy city life!

Description

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Diani and begin our day trip to Funzi Island. We'll make our way towards Bodo, passing the village of Shirazi. During this 40-minute journey, you'll see the green sugar cane fields and the Ramisi Sugar Factory.

Upon arrival, we'll board a motorized canoe for an adventure down the Ramisi River, home to many birds. At low tide, we'll relax on the sand banks of Funzi, perfect for swimming in clear waters and sunbathing.

We will have a meal of seafood, grilled fish, and rice with coconut. After lunch, you'll enjoy some free time on the beach.

Afterwards, we'll explore the village in Funzi, learning about the local community's history and culture. You'll have the chance to interact with locals and learn about their traditional practices.

Finally, after a four-hour tour, we'll return to your hotel in Diani.
