Hiking in the Banhoek Valley + Winery Visit
Join a hiking tour in the Banhoek Valley and visit a local winery. We will meet at 1 Rooi Street to start the tour, which includes a 9-kilometer (5.5 miles) hike through the Stellenbosch area. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
The hiking route highlights the environmental conservation efforts of the Banhoek Conservancy project, aimed at restoring balance between human activities and nature. Participants may spot local wildlife, including bontebokkes and elands, native antelope species.
After the hike, we will visit Oldenburg Vineyards to learn about South African wine. The experience will conclude with a wine tasting paired with cheese.
The entire excursion lasts approximately four hours, and we will return to the starting point by minibus at the end of the activity.
