The facilities have two cabins that reach the summit in about 8 minutes, with a maximum capacity of 44 passengers, although for our customers' comfort, we generally do not board more than 35 people.
The views from the base station allow you to see the spectacular peaks surrounding Mount Teide.
The base station is well-equipped to ensure you enjoy your stay: the ‘Science and Legend’ exhibition, an official souvenir shop, and a restaurant-cafeteria offering a wide gastronomic selection and panoramic views of the National Park.
It is also the perfect place to inform yourself about the different routes you can take from the upper station.
For safety reasons, minors under 8, pregnant women, people with reduced mobility, and individuals with cardiovascular problems are not allowed to ascend the cable car. Generally, if the user's abilities are impaired in a way that could interfere with the normal operation of the cable car, access is restricted. The Teide Cable Car staff reserves the right to deny admission to customers or users who may pose a risk to safety, health, or the service’s order. Read the RULES, RESTRICTIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS carefully. This activity is not allowed for children under 8.
  • Upper Station:
The upper station of the Teide Cable Car, the starting point of the three sensational summit routes of Teide, has a small hall from where you can directly access the exterior. It offers Wi-Fi and restrooms. Although you won't find a café service at the upper station, vending machines with drinks and non-perishable food are available.
We recommend you prepare for temperature changes, as the upper station is at an altitude of 3,555 m.
  • Shops: The Teide Cable Car Visitor Center provides an information point and an official souvenir shop.
  • Restaurant / Cafeteria: The base station has a cafeteria and restaurant service with magnificent views of the Teide National Park, offering a wide culinary selection where local produce is the star.
