Immerse yourself in a day of adventure with our trip to Balandra Beach, paired with a unique opportunity to swim alongside sea lions. This excursion offers a peek into one of the most stunning beaches in Mexico while enjoying interactions with lively sea lions, all set in the picturesque Baja California.
Description
Our journey begins at the agreed hour at Marina Asipona in La Paz. From this vibrant harbor, we will embark on a scenic boat ride toward the secluded Balandra Beach Nature Reserve.
Along the way, we will pause at the San Rafaelito Islet, a spot renowned for its sea lion colonies. Here, you’ll have the chance to don your snorkelling equipment and observe these playful marine mammals in their natural habitat. Experience the thrill as you swim with them through the breathtaking waters of the Gulf of California.
Once we bid farewell to these charming sea lions, the boat will navigate towards Balandra Beach—a location hailed as one of the most exquisite beaches globally. As we disembark, you will be greeted by a stunning landscape characterized by an intriguing blend of cacti, rust-colored hills, and the sparkling clear waters of the Pacific. A notable highlight will be the striking rock formation locally known as El Hongo (The Mushroom), a sight you won’t forget!
To recharge after our explorations, we will enjoy a delectable lunch onboard, featuring ceviche, a ham and cheese sandwich, chips, fresh fruit, and biscuits.
After lunch, we will return to our departure point, with an estimated arrival time of 5 to 6 hours post-pickup.
Important Info
Please note that during June, July, and August, swimming activities with sea lions are limited. If your trip falls within these months, we will instead explore a vibrant reef for approximately an hour of snorkelling.
