Ice Climbing on Huayna Potosí Mountain

Adventurers, this one is for you! Climb 10-metre (32-foot) frozen walls on this epic ice climbing activity on the Huayna Potosí mountain in La Paz!

Do you like adventure? Did you know that Bolivia has one of the best places in the world for ice climbing? At the indicated time, we'll meet at the offices located on Sagarnaga Street and start this climbing experience on the Huayna Potosí mountain.

Once together, we'll travel by minibus to the base camp of Huayna Potosí, located at 4,700 metres (15,400 feet) above sea level. After acquiring the necessary equipment, we'll start walking along the glacier.

The route, taking approximately 40 minutes, will lead us to one of the frozen walls of Huayna Potosí, specifically to the Old Glacier area, ideal for ice climbing. We will spend between two and three hours on this activity.

After climbing walls up to 10 metres (32 feet) high, we'll have lunch while admiring the beauty of the snow-capped mountain. Then, we'll hike back to base camp.

We will finish the activity at the starting point after approximately 10 hours of adventure on Huayna Potosí mountain.
