Ice Climbing on Huayna Potosí Mountain

Adventurers, this one is for you! Climb 10-metre (32-foot) frozen walls on this epic ice climbing activity on the Huayna Potosí mountain in La Paz!

Do you like adventure? Did you know that Bolivia has one of the best places in the world for ice climbing? At the indicated time, we'll meet at the offices located on Sagarnaga Street and start this climbing experience on the Huayna Potosí mountain.

Once we're all together, we'll travel by minibus to the base camp of Huayna Potosí, located at 4,700 metres (15,400 feet) above sea level. After securing the necessary equipment, we'll begin our walk along the glacier.

The route, taking approximately 40 minutes, will lead us to one of the frozen walls of Huayna Potosí, specifically to the area of the Old Glacier, well-suited for ice climbing. We'll spend between two and three hours on this activity.

After climbing walls up to 10 metres (32 feet) high, we'll enjoy a wholesome lunch while admiring the beauty of the snow-capped mountain. We will then hike back to base camp.

The activity will conclude at the starting point after about 10 hours of adventure on Huayna Potosí mountain.
