At the designated time, we'll meet at Plaza San Francisco to begin the food tour of La Paz. Our first stop will be the Mercado Lanza, where locals buy fresh produce and tropical fruits. We will try api con pastel, a traditional drink made of purple corn and an empanada.
Next, we will visit popular local restaurants to sample the most traditional snacks and dishes from the region. Throughout the tour of the historic centre of La Paz, we'll learn about Bolivian cuisine and the origins of local recipes.
Our next stop will be a restaurant to try Colonial or Andean dishes with a refreshing beer. We'll also visit a local restaurant to sample singani, a drink made from the Muscat of Alexandria grape.
